Last month in Melbourne i joined a panel at the State Library of Victoria speaking out about the current internet filter proposal. Also on the panel was the parliament’s best and most consistent filter opponent Scott Ludlam, Greens Senator for Western Australia, professional provocateur Catherine Deveny, and Colin Jacobs who is the Chair of Electronic Frontiers Australia. Rather belatedly I’m getting around to posting the audio of the event now.
My contribution focused on the some of the sheer stupidities inherent in this current proposal. The audio of my talk is here.

Marcus , to really be a effective’ blocker ‘ the filter would need thousands of staff and a awful lot of time and money -aka- the ‘china wall’ is that very likely?
